Job Summary/ Overview

This position performs skilled consecutive, first-person interpretation. Work is performed and reviewed under direct supervision, using well-defined policies and procedures.

Type of role: Interpretation support between doctors and patients based in the US.

Experience : 0 to 5 years (Fresh graduates are welcome. Open for high school/SPM/Diploma/degree holders)

Contract duration: 2 months + 12 months renewable contract

Transport allowance: RM 500 per month (pro-rated)

Sign on bonus: RM 1000 if the contract is extended for 12 months

Work location: Tech Mahindra, Cyberjaya ( Work from Office)

Language proficiency: Mandarin/Cantonese & Good English

Working hours- 5 days per week (Monday to Friday),Permanent night shift, shift allowances provided (RM 25 per night)

Working Timings : 9 PM to 6 AM/ 10 PM to 7 AM

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Fluency in Mandarin/Cantonese & English
• Skilled at communicating, both orally and in writing in Mandarin/Cantonese & English
• Basic understanding of linguistics and different cultures.
• Skilled in adjusting to rapidly changing circumstances.
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide meaning-for-meaning interpreting.
• Follow interpreter protocols as per training, policies, and procedures.
• Follow all policies and procedures related to information confidentiality and interpreter ethics.
• Attend required training.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
