• Track merchandising performance, including sales, profit, and return on investment.
• Maintain constant communication with the store manager and merchandisers
• Being prompt in reordering stock when levels appear low, and arranging for return and credit for damaged products.
• Work closely with department heads to decide how goods should be displayed to maximise sales.
• Maintain awareness of competitors' performance and gather information on customers' reactions to products.
• Perform basic duties in relation to new and existing merchandise, including price changes, tagging, ad set and shelfing arrangements.
• Think creatively/ outside the box to identify new business opportunities and category expansion ideas.
• Ensure priority on collections for launch
• Establish strong supplier/vendor relationships
• Plan pre-launch promos, fashion week launches and calendar of events with various departments
• Provide a road map for promotions to the marketing team in conjunction with digital merchandiser
• Fashion week attendance
• Identify fashion trends and target markets, conduct market research, and gather customer feedback from the store employees.
• Identify buying trends, establish merchandise categories, and develop product assortments.
• Research and analyse competitor products and seasonable trends & pricing to assure that merchandise is priced competitively.
• Ensure healthy team dynamics and provide leadership and assistance
• Respond promptly to price and product requirements from sales associates/managers/CRM
BACK END
• Implement merchandising requirements within established budgets.
• Provide monthly merchandising requirement with budgets
• Maintain product knowledge, including pricing, inventory levels, and levels of service.
• Track merchandising performance, including sales, profit, and return on investment.
• Plan product ranges and prepare sales and stock plans
• Submit monthly MIS reports with action plan on product performance
• Ensure thorough order processing and timely client deliveries along with regular client updates
• Liase with the inventory team to ensure thorough QC and shipment of stocks for UK and India
• Liase with CRM to get an understanding of customer queries and product enquiries
• Provide Timely and accurate feedback to designers
