Position Summary:
Area sales manager is employed by companies to generate revenue from an assigned geographical location by implementing and executing strategies to achieve sales targets. They manage and lead Field Sales Representatives, conduct sales territory analyses, and close sales. Responsible for the overall sales performance of a region or team, Area Sales Manager both perform sales duties themselves and lead teams of salespeople to achieve sales goals. This includes everything from setting sales goals to training and supporting teams in order to help them achieve those goals.
KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Achieving Primary sales target
Sales:-Ensure sales to distributor as per targets defined for the region.
Defining the product basket for the region to ensure optimal sales.
Positioning new products as per the directive from NPD and SBU head to ensure that the right retailer gets the right product.
Understand schemes and offers for the brand and positioning the same to the retailers.
Setting and monitoring targets for TSEs:-Allocating areas to respective TSEs.
Defining targets for TSEs.
Setting beat plan for TSEs.
Monitoring attendance, compliance to beat plan on field assist.
Collection booking from TSE.
Minimum 1 visit with the TSE to key retailers every week.
