Job Description:
As an Warehouse Manager, you will lead a team of associates in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the fulfillment center, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time. Your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities, including operational oversight, staff management, inventory control, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management: Oversee all warehouse operations to ensure efficient order fulfillment.- Monitor and manage performance metrics such as order accuracy, on-time delivery, and cost efficiency.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and communication.
Staff Supervision and Development:- Lead, coach, and develop a team of warehouse associates, supervisors, and support staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement training programs.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Inventory Control:- Ensure accurate tracking of inventory levels and manage stock replenishment.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and resolve discrepancies.
- Optimize storage space and layout for maximum efficiency.
Process Improvement:- Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices.
- Develop and execute strategies to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
- Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements.
Safety and Compliance:- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions.
- Address any safety concerns and implement corrective actions.
Customer Service:- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining accurate and timely order fulfillment.
- Resolve any customer issues related to order fulfillment and shipping.
- Implement quality control measures to minimize errors and defects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in a high-volume fulfillment center.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Strong understanding of inventory control and logistics.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safety and compliance standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or advanced degree in a related field.
- Familiarity with Amazon's operational processes and culture.
