Position Overview

The Data Engineer Intern will assist our data engineering team in building, maintaining, and optimizing our data pipelines and infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about data engineering to gain hands-on experience and contribute to meaningful projects.

Key Responsibilities

Data Pipeline Development: Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines that collect, process, and transform data from various sources.
Data Integration: Help integrate data from different sources into our data warehouse, ensuring data quality and consistency.
Database Management: Support the optimization and maintenance of databases, ensuring high availability and performance.
Data Cleaning and Transformation: Assist in cleaning and transforming raw data into usable formats for analysis and reporting.
Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
Documentation: Document data pipelines, processes, and systems to ensure clarity and knowledge sharing within the team.
Research and Development: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in data engineering and suggest improvements to existing systems.

Qualifications

Education: a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Familiarity with SQL and experience in writing complex queries.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar.
- Basic knowledge of data pipeline tools and frameworks such as Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, or similar is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Additional Skills :
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop or NoSQL databases.
