Job Description

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented XML Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and managing XML workflows, ensuring accurate and efficient data structuring and transformation. If you have a passion for structured data and a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain XML workflows for various publishing and data transformation projects.
Convert raw data (PDF, Word, etc.) into XML formats adhering to industry standards (e.g., JATS, NLM, DITA).
Validate and troubleshoot XML files using DTDs, XSDs, and schemas.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate content delivery.
Optimize and automate XML processes to enhance efficiency.
Ensure compliance with client-specific XML requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proficiency in XML and related technologies such as XSLT, XSD, DTD, and XPath.
Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
Experience in working with XML editors like Oxygen XML Editor or equivalent tools.
Knowledge of XML standards used in publishing (e.g., JATS, DocBook, DITA).
Familiarity with programming or scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Java is a plus.
Ability to analyze and debug XML workflows.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
