Position: TIG and ARC Welder
Job Location: Pasamailaram, Hyderabad
Industry: Medical Device Manufacturing
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in manufacturing or conveyor line operations
Roles and Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Welding Operations:
- Perform TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) and ARC (Shielded Metal Arc) welding processes to assemble and fabricate metal components.
- Ensure precise alignment of components according to blueprints and specifications.
- Conduct welding on various materials, primarily stainless steel, used in medical devices.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect welds to ensure they meet industry standards and company quality guidelines.
- Identify and rectify any defects or inconsistencies in the welding process.
- Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) as required to ensure weld integrity.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Comply with regulatory standards and guidelines pertinent to medical device manufacturing.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Maintain welding equipment in good working condition.
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or necessary repairs to the maintenance team.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of welding activities, including work completed, materials used, and inspection results.
- Prepare reports on welding performance and quality control findings.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding progress and issues.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and address any challenges.
- Assist in the training and mentoring of junior welders as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or conveyor line setting, with a focus on welding.
- Proficiency in TIG and ARC welding techniques.
- Strong understanding of welding principles and best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Knowledge of welding standards and quality control procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in TIG and/or ARC welding.
- Experience in the medical device manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with non-destructive testing methods.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
Work Environment:
- The position involves working in a manufacturing environment that may include exposure to noise, fumes, and heat.
- Physical demands include standing for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, and performing repetitive tasks.
