A telemarketing executive works in a customer-facing role to engage potential customers, provide accurate information about a company's products and services, address customer concerns and help improve sales. They are the first point of contact with a customer. They are responsible for understanding their needs and preferences, communicating the value of the company's products and services and, depending on the objective of the call, persuading them to take an action such as making a purchase, scheduling a demo or appointment or taking a survey.
- Describing the product to the customers and explaining how it can address their needs
- Helping the sales team in improving lead conversion
- Talking to existing customers to learn about their experience of using the company's products and services and gather their feedback
- Addressing customers' concerns or queries related to product usage, troubleshooting and other issues
- Cross-selling or upselling additional products or services to existing customers
- Informing existing customers of loyalty programmes, referral incentives or exclusive rewards
