Roles and Responsibilities:
Content Creation: Develop, write, and maintain technical documentation, including integration guides, manuals, tutorials, API documentation, and customer-facing knowledge base. Research: Conduct thorough research on products, services, technology, and concepts to produce accurate and comprehensive content.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product management, and customer support teams to understand product details and create documentation that meets the needs of developers working for our customers.
Editing and Proofreading: Review and edit content created by our developers for consumption by our customers’ developers to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
Technical Understanding: Understand the target audience and tailor content to their level of technical understanding, ensuring it is clear and useful.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in technical writing and apply this knowledge to improve documentation processes.
Experience and Qualifications Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience: 6+ experience as a technical writer for SaaS solutions for B2B / B2B2C setups.
Skills:
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills in English.
Ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into clear and concise documentation.
Strong understanding of software development and programming languages.
Knowledge in server-side as well as web frontend technologies.
Experience in native mobile technologies (iOS; Android) is a big plus.
Ability to maintain documentation in markup languages such as HTML, XML, and Markdown. Ability to read and adapt Open API specs.
Experience with version control systems like Git.
Great to have Experience and Qualifications:
Experience with Agile/Scrum development processes.
Proficiency in using documentation tools such as Adobe FrameMaker, Microsoft Word, Mad Cap Flare, or similar.
