Job Description

Monitoring: System operator monitor the system consoles for unusual conditions and verify the integrity of the hardware, network, and server resources.
Maintenance: System operator perform preventive maintenance on hardware and install and upgrade software. They also manage data storage and management systems, and maintain software licenses.
Troubleshooting: System operator troubleshoot system operating problems and determine the cause of system interruptions. They also resolve and coordinate problem resolution with in-house staff and vendors.
Security: System operator enforce physical security for computer systems.
Networking: System operator may manage networking functions, including supporting local area networks and wide area networks.
Disaster recovery: System operator may support disaster recovery and cybersecurity programs.
