Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

System Installation and Configuration:

Install, configure, and manage operating systems (Windows and Linux).
Install necessary software and configure system settings to ensure optimal performance.
Assist with the configuration of server hardware and storage systems.

Network Management:

Manage and maintain local area networks (LAN),wide area networks (WAN),and basic networking devices.
Set up and troubleshoot network connections (Ethernet, Wi-Fi, VPN).
Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues.

Security Administration:

Implement basic security practices such as firewalls, antivirus software, and user access controls.
Regularly update systems to patch vulnerabilities.
Assist in managing and monitoring security systems to prevent unauthorized access.

System Monitoring & Performance Optimization:

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
Ensure that the systems are running efficiently by analyzing logs and resource utilization.
Perform regular checks on servers to prevent downtime and minimize system failures.

Backup and Data Recovery:

Set up and manage automated backup systems to ensure data integrity and availability.
Perform regular data backup operations and restore systems when necessary.
Ensure the integrity of backup and recovery processes.

Troubleshooting and Support:

Provide on-site or remote support for users regarding hardware, software, or network-related issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with system performance, connectivity, and hardware components.
Document troubleshooting steps and solutions for future reference.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of system configurations, network settings, and software installations.
Prepare weekly or monthly system health reports, highlighting any issues and the actions taken.
Ensure proper documentation for system recovery procedures.

Collaboration and Team Support:

Work with other IT staff to implement system upgrades, migrations, and improvements.
Assist in project tasks such as server migrations or network upgrades.
