Staff Technical Architect
Position Summary.
Provide technical direction in the designing and implementation of the Walmart Health and Wellness Quality Management System.
Be the voice of Quality Engineering at enterprise architecture design and council level meetings, ensuring that quality is planned for in during the design phase, not just tested in at the end. Ensure that our software and systems being designed with testability at the forefront.
Champion cyber security initiatives for our Technology teams and take the lead in streamlining the SSP process for our Walmart Health Technology team.
Partner with our Infrastructure teams in designing testing processes around the Walmart 'Demo Clinic', maximizing its value, and ensuring we have the best possible pre-production environment in which to test and review the healthcare systems before clinical use/rollout. Ensure that the Demo Clinic is updated and maintained for Technology team use and implement a scheduling system for teams to access the Demo Clinic.
Partner with QE CC Automation Architect as a consulted / backup resource for evaluating and or designing automation solutions.
Drive consistency and standardization for Quality Engineering processes across the product development lifecycle by partnering with technology and business leaders.
Help reduce customer impact due to applications systems issues by ensuring high quality using quality standards; performing root cause analysis; publishing results; and partnering with Development on future prevention plans.
Work as a Technical Leader to interpret business challenges and recommends best practices to improve technology products, or to improve processes or services through applicable technology.
Partners with Quality Management and cross-functional teams to plan and execute large scale projects.
Introduce optimum technical tools and applications to support testing efforts and team productivity.
Maintain data and provide reporting on defects, regressions, performance trends, and team productivity.
Continually improve Quality Practices - including increased test coverage, thoroughness, devices tested, etc.
Drives continuous process improvement and innovation by identifying inefficiencies in current processes; improving the agility of the team; and adopting industry trends for innovation. Ensures product quality by developing and executing a quality assurance plan; using data and experience to determine customer needs; directing continuous improvement and eliminating non-value-added work; measuring milestones for quality; and developing mitigation plans to ensure quality.
Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning.
Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting, selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent.
Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices; developing consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supporting the Open-Door Policy.
Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by sponsoring and leading key community outreach and involvement initiatives; engaging key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives; and supporting associate efforts in these areas.
