Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Responsibilities:
As a part of the NDM Engineering team, this position will be responsible for maintaining NDM configurations, ensuring compliance with NDM standards, and defining and improvement of team processes and procedures. This position will work with the IBM Sterling Control Center product to manage and monitor the Distributed environment. This position will interface with our internal and external trading partners to resolve issues, process configuration requests and certificate renewals, and work on NDM-related projects and general NDM inquiries. This position does have periodic on-call responsibilities as well as weekend coverages for system changes.
The FTS NDM Engineering team currently supports over 9000 NDM nodes in the Distributed environment, with over 9 million transactions per month, as well as all the NDM Mainframe nodes with over 4.5 million transactions per month.
This position is centric on the Connect: Direct Distributed environment but experience with the Mainframe environment is a plus.
Essential Qualifications
5 years of technical experience with Windows / Unix / Linux Operating Systems
5 years of experience with configuration, management, and troubleshooting of the Connect: Direct application
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong knowledge of SSL handshaking and encryption technologies
Demonstrated ability to partner across the organization with both technical and non-technical partners
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects with changing priorities
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with IBM Sterling Control Center a plus
Demonstrate understanding of network connectivity, firewalls, and routers
NDM process creation and support experience
Experience with Mainframe a plus
