Job Summary:
The Sales Business Development Officer will drive loan sales by identifying potential clients, fostering long-term relationships, and collaborating closely with banks and financial institutions. The ideal candidate will be results-oriented with strong communication and negotiation skills and have a deep understanding of loan products.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and Generate Leads:
- Source potential clients through networking, cold calling, and referrals.
- Conduct thorough research to identify new markets and customer needs.
Build and Maintain Client Relationships:
- Engage with potential clients to understand their loan needs and financial goals.
- Maintain regular follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction and identify upselling opportunities.
Product Promotion and Sales:
- Present SBA’s loan products to clients, highlighting the benefits of partnering with SBA for their financing needs.
- Use a consultative sales approach to recommend appropriate loan products based on the client’s profile.
Meet Sales Targets:
- Work towards monthly and quarterly disbursement targets and conversion goals.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies that drive sales performance.
Conduct Market Research:
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and market conditions.
- Provide insights to the management team to refine product and sales strategies.
Coordinate with Banks and Financial Institutions:
- Liaise with SBA’s partner banks to ensure smooth loan processing and address any client-related queries.
- Gather information about new loan products or changes in terms from partner institutions to better inform clients.
Record-Keeping and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, transactions, and sales activities in the CRM system.
- Prepare periodic reports on sales progress, conversion rates, and client feedback for management review.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in sales, business development, or a similar role in the financial sector, preferably with a focus on loan products.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and building client relationships.
Required Skills:- Sales and Negotiation: Strong ability to influence and negotiate to close deals effectively.
- Financial Acumen: Basic knowledge of loan products and an understanding of financial documents.
