Position: ROS Developer
Location: Chennai
Job Description: We are seeking a talented ROS Developer to join our dynamic team. As
a ROS Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and
testing software solutions using the Robot Operating System (ROS) framework.
You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team of engineers to develop
state-of-the-art robotics applications for aerial robotics product.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop ROS-based software solutions for robotic
systems.
- Implement algorithms for perception, navigation, motion
planning, and control.
- Integrate sensors, actuators, and other hardware components
with ROS.
- Develop and maintain ROS packages and libraries.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless
integration of software and hardware components.
- Test and debug software to ensure robustness and reliability in
real-world environments.
- Optimize performance and efficiency of ROS-based systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in ROS and
robotics technology.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical
Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in software development using ROS.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python,
and/or ROS-specific languages (e.g., rospy).
- Strong understanding of robotics concepts and principles.
- Experience with robotic perception, localization, mapping,
and/or navigation.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and
software development tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team
environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with simulation tools such as Gazebo,Rviz.
- Knowledge of additional robotics frameworks and libraries
(e.g., OpenCV, PCL).
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Previous experience with robotic hardware development or
integration.
- Contributions to open-source ROS projects or packages.
