Job Summary
The Restaurant Storekeeper is responsible for the efficient and organized management of food and beverage inventory in a restaurant setting. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management:
- Receive and inspect incoming food and beverage deliveries.
- Store food and beverages in accordance with proper storage guidelines and rotation procedures.
- Conduct regular inventory counts to ensure accuracy and identify shortages.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder items as needed.
- Food Safety:
- Ensure that food is stored at appropriate temperatures to prevent spoilage.
- Handle food items with care to maintain cleanliness and prevent contamination.
- Follow proper food safety procedures, including sanitation practices and allergen management.
- Ordering:
- Assist in placing food and beverage orders with suppliers.
- Verify the accuracy of orders and resolve any discrepancies.
- Organization:
- Maintain a clean and organized storage area.
- Label and date food items appropriately.
- Dispose of expired or damaged food items properly.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Ensure that refrigeration and storage equipment is functioning properly.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications

- Experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred.
