ROLE DEFINITION

KEY DELIVERABLES:

1 Responsible for indirect material sourcing and procurement including Capital Equipment and Services.

2. Price negotiation & commercial closure as per department manual.

3. Non BOM Engineering Product Procurement including consumables /spares.

4. Supporting for Service Level Agreements with Contractors including ARC and AMC.

5. Supplier Relationship Management.

6. Data Management and reporting.

7. Purchase administration.

7 ROLE DESCRIPTORS

1. Receipt of Purchasing Requirements and Process them as per NPP Manual.

2. Maintain record of PR Process as input to MIS reports.

3. Identification and qualification of new suppliers to balance the risk or reduce price or new needs in term of

specifications of products.

4. Reviewing, understanding specification of indirect requirement.

5. Preparation and Handling of RFP/RFQ.

6. Interacting users for technical alignment Feedback to user for deviation of technical requirement

7. Preparing Cost comparison sheet, Cost benefit analysis to make buying decisions.

8. Document Sourcing decision for audit requirements.

9. Negotiating with supplier to get best value for company in shortest time.

10. Identifying cost reduction opportunities in the current buying.

11. Data Management (Vendor Record, Quotation record)

12. SAP Data maintenance (eg. Part Code creation, PO Creations, V code Creations)

13. Cost and Process Improvement projects.

Responsible for Cost, Conduct and Governance of JCB Purchasing Process Guidelines.

Well versed with Documentation and Responsible for receipt of project requirement, vendor selection, preparing

RFQ, inviting bids, negotiation, ordering.

COMPETENCY/EXPERIANCE REQUIREMENTS

 Capability to make cost comparison with cost analysis.

 Strong Negotiation skills

 Knowledge of Taxation including GST, Import Taxation, For Supply and Services

 Strong Analytical and interactive skills

 Market knowledge.

 Knowledge of Legal Requirements

 Working knowledge of SAP MM Module for Purchase orders, Scheduling Agreements and Contracts

 Working knowledge of CAPEX – especially jigs and fixtures for Robotic/Manual Welding / CNC Machining,

Fabrication, welding, painting consumables, maintenance spares, and assembly equipment.

 Purchase knowledge of CAPEX, Fabrication, welding, painting consumables, maintenance spares. Utility and

assembly equipment’s

 MS Office and Reports

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Nice to have:

Worked in construction equipment / heavy engineering-equipment manufacturing company.

Need to have:

Min 3 Years of Experience of Indirect Spend and Capital Procurement with OEM or Purchase functions.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Nice to have:

Mechanical Domain.
