Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Selection & Negotiation:
  • Identify, evaluate, and select vendors that meet company requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms to secure the best pricing, quality, and service levels.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure vendor selection aligns with company needs and goals.
  • Contract Management:
  • Develop and maintain vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor and enforce contract terms, renewals, and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Performance Management:
  • Regularly assess and evaluate vendor performance, ensuring they meet agreed-upon deliverables, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Conduct performance reviews with vendors and provide constructive feedback.
  • Resolve vendor-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Relationship Management:
  • Foster and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key vendors.
  • Act as the main point of contact for vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors to ensure smooth operations and mitigate risks.
  • Cost Control & Budgeting:
  • Monitor vendor invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
  • Track and manage vendor spending, striving for cost reduction and process improvements.
  • Risk Management:
  • Assess and mitigate risks related to vendor relationships and service delivery.
  • Monitor the market for potential disruptions, supply chain risks, or changes that could impact vendor performance.
  • Compliance & Reporting:
  • Ensure all vendor contracts and activities comply with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Prepare reports on vendor performance, spending, and issues for senior management.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost-saving initiatives within vendor management.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in vendor management.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain management.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing vendor relationships and contracts.
  • Skills:
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple vendors and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with procurement and vendor management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Certifications (optional):
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus.
