Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled PLC Maintenance Engineer with hands-on experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving programmable logic controllers (PLC) systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the operation and maintenance of PLC systems used in industrial settings and experience in resolving PLC-related issues quickly and efficiently. As a PLC Maintenance Engineer, you will ensure the continuous operation and reliability of automated systems, improving performance and preventing downtime. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on PLC systems in manufacturing and industrial settings. Program, configure, and test PLCs for new installations or system upgrades. Monitor, analyze, and optimize PLC system performance and functionality. Identify and resolve issues related to PLCs, sensors, actuators, and associated equipment. Diagnose faults in PLC-controlled systems and resolve electrical and mechanical issues. Provide technical support for PLCs to operators, technicians, and other maintenance personnel. Assist with the installation and commissioning of new PLC-based automation systems. Conduct preventive maintenance activities on PLCs to avoid unplanned downtime. Work closely with the maintenance and engineering teams to ensure seamless operations. Develop and maintain accurate documentation, including system manuals, maintenance logs, and work orders. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field. Proven experience (X+ years) in PLC maintenance and troubleshooting in an industrial setting. Strong knowledge of PLC brands (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi) and control systems. Experience with SCADA, HMI, DCS, and other automation systems. Solid understanding of electrical systems, automation, and control systems. Hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, VFDs, and other automation-related hardware. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and PLC programming languages (Ladder Logic, Structured Text, etc.). Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures and best practices. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex PLC-related issues. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Familiarity with industry safety standards and regulations.
