Job Title: PLC Engineer (Maintenance) Responsibilities: PLC System Maintenance: Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair PLC-based control systems used in industrial processes. Ensure optimal performance of PLCs, HMI (Human-Machine Interface),and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems. Perform regular system diagnostics and maintenance to prevent system failures and downtime. Troubleshooting and Repairs: Identify, diagnose, and resolve PLC faults or failures in a timely manner. Provide support for process control systems, including field instruments, sensors, and actuators. Program Modifications and Updates: Modify PLC programs as needed to improve efficiency, implement process changes, or address technical issues. Implement software updates and patches for PLC systems. Preventative Maintenance: Develop and execute preventative maintenance schedules for all PLC systems and related control equipment. Perform routine inspections of control systems to ensure they operate efficiently and reliably. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and system changes. Document and update machine parameters, system configurations, and wiring diagrams. Collaboration: Work with production and engineering teams to resolve technical issues and improve plant operations. Provide technical support to other departments when necessary. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and ensure systems are in compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Participate in safety audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to safety. Training: Train and guide junior engineers or technicians on PLC maintenance and troubleshooting procedures. Provide training to operators on basic PLC troubleshooting and system operations.
