Job Description

Role and Responsibilities:

Eye exams
Using specialized equipment, optometrists assess patients' eyes to diagnose vision problems, diseases, and injuries.
Prescriptions
Optometrists prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids.
Treatments
Optometrists provide treatments such as vision therapy, low-vision rehabilitation, and medications to correct or treat eye issues.
Patient care
Optometrists provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgery. They also educate patients on contact lens care, visual hygiene, and safety factors.

Skills:

Clinical examination and assessment
