Job Description

Evaluate patients: Occupational Therapist assess patients' medical history, condition, and needs. They also evaluate patients' home, workplace, and community to identify areas for improvement.
Develop treatment plans: Occupational Therapist create treatment plans to help patients meet their goals. They may use a variety of therapeutic approaches, including everyday activities, manual arts, and crafts.
Teach patients: Occupational Therapist teach patients how to use equipment and perform exercises and techniques. They also train patients and their caregivers to use special equipment.
Assess progress: Occupational Therapist evaluate patients' progress and make adjustments to their treatment plans as needed.
Prepare patients for return to work: Occupational Therapist may consult with employers to help patients return to work. They may also help employers understand the physical and job accommodations that patients need
