As a Network Engineer at Vedika Vanijya Pvt. Ltd., the applying candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing and maintaining of network infrastructure to support our high-performance trading operations. As a Network Engineer, the requirements of the job will ensure that our network systems are secure, reliable and optimized for low-latency trading environments. For this we are looking for an experienced person having relevant prior working experience and have exposure in Stock Markets.

JOB CRITERIA

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Network Design and Configuration:

Ø Develop and implement network architecture, including LAN, WAN, and VLAN setups.

Ø Configure and manage network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls and load balancers.

Ø Ensure network services are optimally configured including VPNs and QoS.

2. Network Maintenance and Monitoring:

Ø Perform regular network maintenance, system upgrades and performance tuning.

Ø Monitor network performance and availability of network servers using diagnostic and analytics tools.

Ø Document network infrastructure, network configuration measures and procedures for 24/7 support to trading teams.

3. Troubleshooting and Support:

Ø Diagnose networks, troubleshoot network clogs and resolve network issues related to hardware, software or internet connectivity.

Ø Provide Level – 2 or Level – 3 support for WAN and LAN networks which includes Cisco equipment and F5 load balancers.

Ø Conduct disaster recovery operations to ensure network resilience and safeguard of network framework.

4. Network Security and Documentation:

Ø Plan and implement network security measures in collaboration with the IT team.

Ø Maintain comprehensive network documentation which includes infrastructure diagrams and runbook manuals.

Ø Review and update network system plans for transparency, accuracy and completeness.

5. Auditing and Compliance:

Ø Regularly audit company routers, switches and other related network devices to ensure compliance with standards and build logs on performance metrics.

Ø Evaluate network configurations and infrastructure for network security, network efficiency and compliance with overall network protocols.

6. Communication and Coordination:

Ø Serve as a point of contact for exchanges to resolve network-related issues impacting trading activities.

Ø Coordinate with exchange technical teams to troubleshoot and address network problems.

Ø Collaborate with vendors and IT personnel to resolve complex network issues and enhance network performance.

Ø Contribute to planning and executing new locations, campus expansions, and emerging network technologies.

7. Collaboration and Mentorship:

Ø Work effectively with IT and trading teams to meet operational needs.

Ø Mentor and support other team members while fostering a collaborative work environment.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Ø Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Ø Professional certifications such as CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) are required. CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) and/or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) are highly desirable.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

Ø Proven hands-on experience with network setup and maintenance in a trading or stock market environment.

Ø Extensive experience in auditing network components and troubleshooting network issues.

Ø Familiarity with networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF) and the OSI or TCP/IP model.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Ø Deep understanding of network protocols, monitoring, system diagnostic and network analytics tools.

Ø Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.

Ø Excellent communication and collaboration skills particularly in interacting with external partners such as Stock Exchanges, Vendors or Data providers.

Ø Ability to stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Ø Commitment to maintaining high standards of network performance, security, and compliance.

Ø Detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset.
