Network Engineer
Role and Responsibilities:-
Maintaining computer networks including mainframes, VPNs, routers and other physical hardware.
Knowledge of Switch functions, VLAN, HSRP, STP, VTP, VXLAN, VTEP
Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Installing and configuring network equipment.
Creating firewalls and updating virus protection software and data security systems to keep data and communications protected
Conversant in best practices appropriate to network design and security.
Understanding of hardware and software performance and scaling limitations.
Network operations & design, implementation, and management using different firewall Routers & switches (Nexus & Catalyst),routers.
Working on Network VAPT remediation
Configuration and Maintenance of all Networking Devices (Firewalls, Switches, Routers, Wireless Controller and Access Points)
Solution Proposal and Implementation on Networking Devices and Setup based on new Projects and Business Requirements
Make technical directions for Solution providing, configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing malfunctioning Hardware and complex network-related issues.
Extensive experience in network operation in Security, LAN & WAN.
Should have hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment.
Knowledge of Routing Protocols: RIP, RIP2, IGRP, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS and MP BGP
Ambitious individuals who can work in their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with a creative approach to work
Technical knowledge and practical experience in Security technologies and routing protocols, QoS & switching technology.
Troubleshooting leased lines and Monitoring Network Related Problems for sites across the country.
Taking Back-up Configurations of N/W equipment like Routers, Switches and ASA firewall on weekly basis.
Network monitoring using Network Management Tools like SNMP and PRTG.
Should have handled Cisco switches and routers
Minimum experience in support and troubleshooting of network devices
Should have experience in a production network environment in CISCO data devices.
Good Knowledge of L2, and L3 Protocols for IP Networks e.g. DHCP, DNS, VLAN, PPP, ICMP, ARP, NAT, QoS etc.
Sound knowledge of routing protocol.

Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
