Introduction:We are seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team as a Medical Laboratory Receptionist. This position is pivotal in ensuring smooth operations at our laboratory facility, where accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional customer service are paramount. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a science-related field (BSc) and a strong desire to contribute to the healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and assist patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals in a courteous and professional manner.
Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and provide accurate information about laboratory services.
Collect patient information and accurately input data into electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Verify patient insurance coverage and process payments for services rendered.
Coordinate specimen collection and ensure proper labeling and documentation.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting rooms.
Collaborate with laboratory technicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient workflow.
Assist in administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and ordering supplies as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field (BSc) is required.
Proven experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
Familiarity with medical terminology and understanding of laboratory procedures is advantageous.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Proficiency in using computer systems, EMR software, and basic office equipment.
