Essential Qualification & Experience

M.Sc. (IT/CS)/MCA/M.E (CS) / M.Tech (IT) or Equivalent.
Minimum 3 years teaching/ research experience in related field.

Desirable Qualification:

Experience in working for persons with multiple disabilities.
Possessing any RCI recognized qualifications.

Rs.60,000/-

IMPORTANT NOTE

The above consultant positions will be filled purely on contractual basis.
Engagement will be governed by the rules and regulations, terms and conditions of the engagement of the Institute presently in force or as may be framed, amended, altered or extended from time to time by the Ministry.
A fixed monthly amount shall be admissible and the remuneration may be regulated as per the terms and conditions of the contract. No other allowances will be admissible.
Annual increment @3% shall be allowed during the term of the contract.
The contractual appointment would be on full time basis and they would not be permitted to take up any other commercial assignment during the period of consultancy.
Any other assignments given to be staff to be carried out time to time.
Bringing in any type of Political/Official interference, influence, canvassing, other pressures in any form etc., will render disqualification of the candidature and action will be taken against such candidates. No correspondence in this matter will be entertained.
NIEPMD will retain data of applications received from non-shortlisted candidates only for a period of six months after completion of Engagement process i.e., the issuance of offer letter to the selected candidate.

National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities (Divyangjan) established in the year 2005, on East Coast Road, Muttukadu, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, (about 30 km from Chennai Central railway station, Mofussil bus terminus) Under Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan),Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India, to serve as a national resource center for empowerment of persons with Multiple Disabilities such as those with two or more disabilities in a person. The Disabilities enumerated as per RPWD Act (2016) are Blindness, Low-vision, Leprosy Cured persons, Hearing Impairment (deaf and hard of hearing),Locomotor Disability, Dwarfism, Intellectual Disability, Mental Illness, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Chronic Neurological conditions, Specific Learning Disabilities, Multiple Sclerosis, Speech and Language disability, Thalassemia, Hemophilia, Sickle Cell disease, Multiple Disabilities including deafblindness, Acid Attack victim, Parkinson's disease and as per The National Trust (1999) Act, are Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities.
