A junior landscape architect's responsibilities include:
Designing outdoor spaces: Create plans and designs for outdoor spaces that are aesthetically pleasing and practical. This includes parks, gardens, housing, industrial complexes, and individual homes.
Collaborating with others: Work with clients, vendors, community members, architects, surveyors, town planners, and civil engineers.
Presenting proposals: Present proposals to clients, deal with inquiries, and negotiate any amendments to the final design.
Preparing plans and drawings: Use computer-aided design (CAD) packages or similar design software to prepare detailed plans and working drawings.
Conducting studies: Conduct preliminary studies of the site, including contours, soil, ecology, buildings, roads, and heritage.
Assessing potential: Assess a site's potential to meet the client's specifications.
Carrying out environmental impact assessments: Carry out environmental impact assessments and provide recommendations on conservation etc.
Preparing submissions: Prepare written and graphic submissions to potential clients.
Coordinating design: Collaborate with various design disciplines to ensure integrative design.
Skills:
Knowledge of Autocad, revitt, lumion , sketchup are necessary.
Knowledge on Design estimation and calculation is added advantage.
