Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Air Conditioning (AC) Technician to join our team. As an AC Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various air conditioning systems in residential and commercial settings. Your technical expertise and commitment to quality service will ensure our clients’ HVAC systems operate efficiently and reliably.

Responsibilities:

1. Installation:

• Install new air conditioning systems, including ductwork and ventilation.
• Ensure proper sizing, placement, and configuration of equipment.

1. Maintenance:

• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal functionality.
• Clean filters, coils, and ducts to improve efficiency.
• Inspect and replace worn-out parts as needed.

1. Repairs:

• Diagnose and repair malfunctioning components of HVAC systems (e.g., compressors, motors, thermostats).
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
• Conduct performance tests to identify potential problems.

1. Customer Service:

• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions.
• Offer recommendations for improving system efficiency and performance.
• Provide estimates for repairs and installations.

1. Compliance and Safety:

• Adhere to all safety standards and regulations.
• Follow proper procedures for handling refrigerants and other hazardous materials.
• Ensure all work complies with building codes and industry standards.

1. Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
• Document equipment and parts used for billing and inventory purposes.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an AC Technician or similar role.
• Technical knowledge of HVAC systems and their components.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Certification or license as an HVAC Technician (where required).
• Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or certification in HVAC or a related field.
• Prior experience with specific brands or types of HVAC systems (e.g., split systems, rooftop units).
• Familiarity with energy efficiency standards and practices.

Working Conditions:

• Typically work indoors and outdoors, depending on the installation or repair job.
• May work in cramped spaces or at heights.
