Position Title: Head of Drone Product Development

Location: Chennai.

Department: Research and Development (R&D)

Position Overview:

The Head of Drone Product Development will lead the product development team, overseeing the design, development, and deployment of innovative drone products. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background in drone technology, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for innovation. The ideal candidate will drive the product vision, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure the successful launch of market-leading drone products.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the product development lifecycle from concept to launch.

- Manage and mentor a team of product managers, designers, and developers.

- Ensure products meet market needs and business goals.

- Develop and execute product strategy.

- Oversee product development process and ensure timely, budget-friendly delivery.

- Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture.

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and gather feedback.

- Manage the product development budget.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

  - Minimum of 10 years of experience in product development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the drone or UAV industry or similar industries like aerospace automotive, EV’s etc.

  - Proven track record of successfully bringing complex technology products to market.

 Technical Skills:

  - Strong knowledge of drone technologies, including hardware, software, sensors, and communication systems.

  - Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).

- Leadership Skills:

  - Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.

  - Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

  - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with regulatory compliance and certification processes for drones.

- Familiarity with AI, machine learning, and data analytics as applied to drone technology.

- Patents or publications in the field of drone technology or related areas.
