Responsibilities:

Analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and project plans for mechanical systems to understand specifications

Construct and assemble mechanical systems and structural forms according to specifications and requirements

Utilize welding skills to fuse structural components

Inspect structural systems based on local and state building codes

Set up and adjust machines, tools, and equipment

Closely examine structural systems and components to ensure they are safe and finalized

Perform regular maintenance of machines, tools, and equipment

Discover and fix faults and problems in construction by conducting diagnostic testing

Replace or repair damaged or defective structural components

Examine and measure fabricated components to make sure they are the correct size

Collaborate with the labor crew on larger and more demanding projects

Keep records of maintenance work done

Skills:
