Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Executive - Fundraising and Communications to lead and execute our fundraising strategy, drive donor engagement, and manage external communications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the NGO sector, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to secure funding from diverse sources. This role is vital to expanding our impact and ensuring the sustainability of our initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising:
Develop and Implement Fundraising Strategy: Design and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy that aligns with the organization's mission, focusing on individual donors, corporate partnerships, foundations, and grant opportunities.
Donor Relations: Cultivate and manage relationships with existing donors, ensuring regular communication and stewardship. Identify and engage with potential new donors through research, outreach, and networking.
Grant Writing and Reporting: Prepare and submit compelling grant proposals, and manage reporting requirements for existing grants.
Corporate Partnerships: Develop strategic partnerships with corporate sponsors, including CSR initiatives, cause-related marketing, and employee engagement programs.
Digital Fundraising Campaigns: Plan and execute online fundraising campaigns using various platforms, leveraging social media and email marketing.
Communications:
Develop Communication Strategy: Create and implement an integrated communications plan to promote the organization’s work, impact, and mission across all channels (social media, website, newsletters, press releases, etc.).
Content Creation: Produce engaging content such as blogs, impact stories, newsletters, and reports that effectively communicate the organization's impact and goals.
Brand Management: Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all platforms, enhancing the visibility and credibility of the organization.
Media Relations: Develop relationships with media outlets and secure press coverage to raise awareness of the organization’s initiatives.
Event Coordination: Lead the planning and execution of fundraising events, webinars, and donor engagement activities, both online and offline.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Marketing, Social Work, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, communications, or a related role, preferably within the NGO sector.
Skills:
Proven track record in fundraising and donor management, with a strong understanding of CSR in India.
Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal),with the ability to create persuasive content and deliver impactful presentations.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and nurture relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders.
Familiarity with digital marketing and social media platforms for fundraising and communications.
Experience in grant writing and reporting.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of the education and digital literacy landscape in India is a plus.
