Job Description
Work timing 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Interesting person contact between10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Installing and maintaining systems: Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and control systems. They also install conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables.
Testing and inspecting: Inspect electrical components and systems to ensure they are installed properly and operating safely. They also perform routine tests and identify electrical problems.
Repairing and replacing: Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures using hand and power tools. They may also replace circuit breakers and conduits as needed.
Following regulations: Follow state and local building regulations, as well as the National Electrical Code.
Documenting: Document servicing information and repairs.
Training and directing: May train and direct other workers on electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs.
Coordinating: May coordinate timelines with other contractors.
Working with utility companies: May work with utility companies to maintain power lines.
