An Electric Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery. This role involves working on a variety of projects, such as power generation, transmission, and distribution; renewable energy sources; and electrical equipment used in various industries.
Key Responsibilities:
1. *Design and Development:*
- Design electrical systems and components to required specifications.
- Develop and test prototypes of new electrical equipment.
- Ensure designs meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
2. *Project Management:*
- Manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring they meet budget and timeline constraints.
- Coordinate with other engineers, contractors, and clients.
3. *Testing and Maintenance:*
- Develop testing procedures and oversee the testing of electrical systems and components.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, performing maintenance as needed.
- Ensure systems and components operate efficiently and safely.
4. *Collaboration and Communication:*
- Work with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and project managers.
- Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
5. Operating Chiller, Generator, high voltage operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license may be required.
- Proficiency in design and calculation software, such as AutoCAD, MATLAB, or similar.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Experience in specific industries (e.g., power generation, renewable energy, manufacturing) may be preferred.
