Daycare Teacher Position at Pathfinders Preschool

Job Overview: The individual should have the ability to follow and maintain the philosophy and ethos of the preschool. Reporting to the Founders and Centre head.

• Provide basic care and caregiving activities.

• Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, indoor or outdoor games, crafts, drawing, etc.) to enhance the child’s abilities.

• Evaluate children’s performance to ensure they are on the right learning track. Understanding children's needs and giving required support to each child.

• Writing Month end students' reports

• Weekly and daily planning for day care - reviewing and implementing existing plans; altering activities as required as per the capacities of the children

• Preparation and organizing of all the classroom activities each day

• Helping children through the different routines of the day like lunch-time, nap-time, activity-time, playtime, etc. Co-coordinating daily activities and routines for children.

• Ensuring that the child’s current school classwork is executed on a daily basis with due support provided for each topic.

• Rearranging the classroom and the material at the end of the day.

• Supplies and teaching material as per the allocated program budget.

• Maintaining students' records.

• Setting up online meeting requests on platforms like - Sign-Up Genius.

• Conduct individual meetings with parents at the end of the month to share the month’s activities and the child’s participation as well as progress. Remain in regular communication with parents and update them on their children.

• Adhere to teaching standards and safety regulations as established by the management.

Requirements:

• Early childhood degree and or certification is a must

• Candidates must be graduates

• Strong time management skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently

• Candidates should have the skill to work well with children and adults

• At all times, the position will be expected to respect the confidentiality of sensitive family information

• Needs to have excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Regularity and punctuality is very essential in school

Timings: 12.00pm to 6.00pm / 2.00pm to 6.00pm/ 3.00pm to 6.00pm
