Job Title: Computer Operator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Computer Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and operating computer systems to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor computer systems, networks, and peripherals for optimal performance and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Operate computer systems, performing tasks such as data entry, file management, and system backups.
- Ensure system security, implementing measures to prevent unauthorized access.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including software updates and hardware checks.
- Collaborate with IT staff to resolve technical issues and implement system upgrades.
- Provide technical support to users, addressing hardware and software concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of system performance, downtime, and maintenance activities.
- Adhere to organizational policies and procedures regarding data security and integrity.
- Participate in training and development to stay current with emerging technologies.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in computer operations or a related field.
- Proficiency in operating systems (Windows),software applications, and hardware peripherals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Working Conditions:
- Work is typically performed in an office setting with moderate noise levels.
- May require occasional lifting of equipment or supplies (up to 50 pounds).
- May require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, or keyboarding.
Salary and Benefits:
