Participate in the preparation of food items according to guest orders of consistent quality following recipe cards, production, portion, and presentation standards.
Be responsible for and accountable for the overall food cost kitchen supplies, kitchen energy costs and kitchen utensils.
Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the department head from time to time.
Accept and prepare special orders.
Store unused food properly.
Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese dishes to high standards.
Develop and test new recipes to enhance the menu.
Supervise kitchen staff and delegate tasks efficiently.
Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented in accordance with restaurant standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times.
Order and manage kitchen inventory, ensuring freshness and quality of ingredients.
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
