Job Description

Customer service: Greeting customers, answering questions, and providing recommendations
Processing transactions: Scanning items, calculating prices, and processing payments
Handling cash: Maintaining change, balancing the cash register, and reconciling sales receipts
Maintaining inventory: Checking stock, refilling shelves, and maintaining records
Keeping things clean: Keeping the checkout area and merchandise areas clean and tidy
Helping with returns and exchanges: Processing returns and exchanges in a quick and efficient manner
Following procedures: Adhering to guidelines for sensitive payment methods and following store procedures
Providing information: Staying up to date on product information, promotions, and advertisements
Verifying age: Verifying the age of customers when selling alcohol, tobacco, or lottery tickets
