Responsibilities:

Teaching: Assistant Professor is responsible for delivering lectures, conducting seminars, and leading discussions on their area of expertise

They design and develop course syllabi, instructional materials, and assessments to facilitate student learning

Research: Assistant Professor is expected to engage in original research and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in their field

They may publish research papers in academic journals, present at conferences, and collaborate with other researchers

Student Advising: Assistant Professor often serve as academic advisors, guiding students in their academic and career pursuits, providing mentorship, and offering guidance on research projects and coursework

Curriculum Development: They may have the opportunity to contribute to the development and revision of academic programs, courses, and curricula to ensure they remain current and relevant

Professional Development: Assistant Professor engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay informed about the latest developments in their field and pedagogical practices

Service: While the primary focus is on teaching and research, Assistant Professor may also contribute to the university or college community through service activities such as committee participation, event organization, and outreach
