Educational Qualification

Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with minimum of 60% marks from a recognized University.

Essential Experience

Minimum of Three years post qualification experience in

Ship Building or
Ship Repair or
Marine related or
Port or
Engineering Companies or
Government Companies / Establishments or
Semi Government Companies /Establishments.
Experience shall be in the areas of Quality Control of Outfitting or Machinery or Piping or Electrical functions.

Desirable:

Experience of working in an ERP or SAP or computerized environment.
Experience in QMS/ ISO/ IMS documentation.

Job Requirements:

Responsible for the following

Preparation of QAP for the Electrical Equipment and systems in Ship.
Prompt coordination for timely completion of internal surveys and surveys with owners and class.
Prompt documentation of survey reports, QA /QC Reports and timely closure of survey comments in-line with project timelines.
Liaison with owner representatives and class surveyors for completion of surveys in line with project timelines
Upkeeping of IMS Documentation for yard and calibration records of yard testing & measuring instruments.
Ensure the Quality assurance of vessels being built inline with UCSL quality standards and as per approved QAP.
Work allocation to QA/QC Inspectors based on daily survey requests.
Incoming material inspection and completion of SAP entries for the same as applicable.
Timely processing of payment to agencies related with QA/QC activities
Periodic reports regarding Survey status and pending surveys/comments.

Age:

The upper age limit prescribed for the posts shall not exceed 30 years as on 05 July 2024 i.e. applicants should be born on or after 06 July 1994.
The upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates in post reserved for them.

Method of Selection

The method of selection shall be through Objective Type Test and Personal Interview.
