Job Description:
As an Accountant in the logistics industry, you will be responsible for managing the financial records, transactions, and reporting for the company. Your role will involve ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, analyzing financial data, and providing insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and submit tax returns, including corporate income tax, sales tax, VAT, and payroll taxes, in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including processing invoices, payments, and collections.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve financial issues and inquiries.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities by providing financial data and analysis.
- Support audit and tax preparation activities by providing supporting documentation and information.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance and efficiency.
