Research Efforts

Labor markets globally are the most inefficient markets of all. The matching of supply and demand is constrained by huge asymmetries and subjectivity of information around skills, hiring plans, experience, investment plans, etc. India's labor market magnifies this inefficiency with labor laws that have not been updated to reflect the future of India's capabilities and confidence.

Labor policy, at heart, is all about people, their dreams and aspirations. Hopefully these research efforts represent our contribution to an important debate. Research papers include Temp Salary Primer, White Paper on India’s Labor Market Temporary Staffing and Employment Outlook.

It estimate the costs and upsides of this repair and also suggests the reform agenda for skill development. We bring to light the key issues that exist today and how this creates an opportunity for temporary staffing. Employment Outlook

TeamLease Employment Outlook is a quarterly survey of business and employment expectations among private sector employers across various cities and industries in India.

The Employment Outlook seeks to anticipate the pulse (present) and mood (future) of companies around their labor market decisions. It aims to build an archive of data over an extended period of time that will allow the culling of labor market wisdom around industries, regions, and functions. In doing this it hopes to fill a void around the lack of trend information on labor markets in India, that creates huge uncertainty for decision making in public policy, corporate hiring and individual career decisions.
