Electrical Engineer
Job Description:-
Performs electrical discipline work which involves the preparation, interpretation, or review of calculations, specifications, and electrical layout plans including lighting and grounding, investigations, surveys, structures, systems, or equipment with relatively few complex features.
Develop manufacturing processes according to global engineering codes and standards.
Good knowledge of the major industry or regulatory standards and design criteria pertinent to the engineering discipline.
Testing of materials
Receives instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features and possible solutions.
Equipment design and development
Assistance is furnished on unusual problems and work is reviewed for the application of acceptable methods and judgment.
Smart Plant Electrical (SPEL)
Provides technical direction to drafters, designers, technicians and less experienced engineers as directed.
Contacts counterparts in other disciplines, supplier/client representatives and project field personnel when directed, to either gather or give information.
Design, control, and implement electrical systems and products.
BuildingâÂÂs mechanical and electrical equipment such as HVAC, lighting, power systems, fire systems, access control and security systems.
Manage engineering projects and deliver them on time.
Define customer needs and requirements.
Performs assignments, which have clear and specific objectives and require the investigation of a limited number of variables for an engineering discipline within a global business unit.
Receives technical and administrative supervision from an Engineering Supervisor.
System design, including concept sketches and layouts.
Guide and organize manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation and testing to assure confirmation with specifications, codes and customer requisites.
Basic skills in oral and written communication.
Technical knowledge of engineering systems, engineering calculations, applications of engineering methods and construction methods and materials, and application of computer-aided engineering (CAE)/computer-aided design (CAD) tools to engineering problems.
Preparation of specifications and design calculations
Experience in preparing technical specifications, datasheets, material requisitions and vendor print reviews for various electrical equipment
Knowledge of SPEL for preparation of load list, MCC schedule etc.
Evaluates select, and apply standard engineering methods, techniques, procedures and criteria, using independent judgment in making adaptations and modifications.
Transmission and distribution of electrical energy and telecommunication.
Broad progressive relevant work experience of over 6 years in basic & detailed engineering preferably in an EPC industry for large industrial plants, power projects, utilities, process plants
Preparation or review of engineering studies and reports.
Review of 3D Models in S3D and Autodesk Revit using SPR or Navisworks and be a stakeholder in 30%, 50% and 90% of Model Reviews with Clients, Vendors and Sub Contractors.
Preparation or review of material quantity estimates.
Uses engineering computer-aided design/computer-aided engineering (CAD/CAE) tools
Prepares letters for replies to vendor correspondence.
Monitors project controls within the discipline.
Reviews design documents of equipment manufacturers or subcontractors of a moderate degree of complexity and prepares comments & recommendations.
Assists in the preparation of forecasts, quantity take-offs and change orders.

Experience in various electrical layouts like grounding, raceways and lighting etc.
Reviewing and checking designs, drawings and data by other engineers or by suppliers.
Knowledge of project controls within the discipline.
